Toucan AI is the e-commerce tech company I spent the last 3 years of my life building with Vishnu, Marifel, and a group of interns, advisors, and investors. While Vishnu and Marifel did the vast majority of the software engineering over the years, I contributed to the development when it made sense, and to the product vision throughout.
Shopify How To
Shopify How To was a project under the Toucan AI wing that was intended to provide small e-commerce business owners (who use Shopify) with a way of automatedly auditing and verifying their web store for mistakes and improvements that would drive conversions.
Small Box Shops
Small Box Shops is a project under the Toucan AI wing intended to help everyday online shoppers share and promote small e-commerce businesses, especially those with a social factor (Black- or Indigenous-owned, eco-friendly, etc.). Since the website itself doesn’t explain the concept, you can learn more here.
Toucan Demo Site
Toucan’s Demo Site is a project under the Toucan AI wing intended to showcase the Toucan AI product as it exists on a demo e-commerce store, built with Shopify. This video indicates how quickly Toucan was installed on this site (though it’s no longer active on the site now).
Nebula Learning
Nebula Learning is the educational tech company I spent 2 years building with Vishnu and a few other classmates at Duke before working on Toucan. While the site is no longer available publicly online, it is available on a private Github repo that I can share, if interested.
Snacks for the Socially Distanced
Snacks for the Socially Distanced is the (for a while) daily snack review podcast that Vishnu and I started to help bring people joy during the pandemic.
Farmshots
Farmshots is the agricultural technology startup I worked for as it was going through the YCombinator fellowship program. My web development was primarily to help build their analytics platform, which took farming data and displayed attractive graphs for customers to utilize.
Various school projects
I’ve done a variety of school projects that have involved web development of various sorts, including:
- a Virtual Farmer’s Market walkthrough for a virtual museum exhibit
- a Python app called Volyoome that automatically adjusts computer volume based on external noise input (created for HackDuke)
- an ArcGIS app called Ecodiversity that allows for the crowdsourcing and environmental biodiversity data (also created for HackDuke)
